Pingree Puts a Pep in Its Step

On Friday night, September 23, all grades united on the turf to showcase our Pingree pride. Luckily, all of the students were dressed for the occasion, decked out in white, blue, and green outfits. This fun-filled night was run by the leaders of the Highlander Nation (@thehighlandernation on Instagram) and the captains of fall sports teams, making for a night of friendly competition.

“It was so fun to watch everyone compete,” senior Cassie Smith mentioned. As a captain of the volleyball team, she wanted to see the games that the other captains came up with, enjoying the various ways captains showed off their sport.

With enthusiastic participation from all, students attempted musical chairs, golfing, football, and more. There were even amazing performances from the percussion ensemble, the dance team, and a very energetic dance battle that got the students on their feet.

Captain of the football team, Hudson Weidman, says that he “loved leading the football event,” adding that “it was great to see other people get involved in the sport they don’t play.”

Special thanks to Mr. Moran and the captains of volleyball, soccer, cross country, football, field hockey, dance, golf (and Hamish!) for energizing the crowd and getting us ready for a busy and successful Abbey Day on Saturday.
